Contractors registered by NICEIC are assessed on a regular basis to ensure that they are competent and capable of meeting the relevant technical and safety standards, codes of practice and rules of the Schemes they are registered to. They are also authorised to self-certify their work to the Local Building Control Body.

Should any work carried out by an NICEIC registered electrician be found not to comply with the Building Regulations (Part P) or relevant installation standards, NICEIC can instruct the contractor to go back and carry out the work to the required standard.
