Back in February 1992 at the age of 21 when I founded David Pearce Electrical I had two very simple business strategies. The first was to trade in a respectful, professional and courteous manner to develop long-standing repeat business relationships with my customer base. The second was to appreciate and value all customers equally, after all today’s small domestic job could be the facilitator of tomorrow's hundred-thousand-pound contract.
Today, I have a team to help me look after the needs of our ever-expanding client base and these simple business strategies are very much the ethos of David Pearce (Electrical Contractors) Ltd. Under my management and direction everyone is focused on striving to deliver these simple but core values. Many of my workforce and administration team have worked for me for the majority of their working lives and I am very proud of them all.
In 1992, following the completion of a City & Guilds Apprenticeship and the gaining of valuable experience with a well-established and respected electrical contractor, I left the security of employment, sold my car, purchased a second-hand Fiesta Van and David Pearce Electrical was born!
I am a family man with a wonderful and supportive wife. Our two children ensure time out of the business is fully utilised. I have a keen interest in many sports including tennis, squash, rugby union and motorsports, to name but a few of those which I indulge in whenever possible.
Dan first joined David Pearce Electrical in November 2010 in a part-time role before taking up a full-time position in the early part of 2011 as the company’s Operations Manager. Prior to working at David Pearce Electrical, Dan held the position of Sport Development Manager for 6 years at Sandwell Borough Council where he managed a large team of officers who were responsible for the development of Sport and Physical Activity across the Borough. In his spare time, Dan is a keen tennis player and committee member at Stoney Stanton Tennis Club and a lifelong LCFC supporter, he travels to both home and away games when he can.
Scott Hudson joined David Pearce Electrical as an apprentice electrician back in 2006. His hunger for career development and progression within the company soon became apparent. After becoming qualified he furthered his studies to achieve ‘Approved Electrician’ status in 2016. Now with several years of essential experience, Scott made a strategic career path change and moved from an installation role into contract administration. As a contracts supervisor Scott was now responsible for the commercial and logistical requirements of projects. Scott has now progressed further into a more senior, company-wide, sales managerial role. His previous focus on the design and delivery of highly efficient LED lighting systems for clients has been retained but he is now also prolific in the company’s EV division ‘David Peace Electric Vehicle Charging’. In his personal life, Scott is active at various sports and enjoys spending time with his friends and family.
Heath Jennings qualified at university after studying the construction industry. He was working at a local electrical wholesaler as an Account Manager in the late 90’s when he first met David. Heath completed an electrical apprenticeship and worked with several large organisations in the utilities and communications sector before joining David Pearce Electrical in September 2013 as an Electrician. Heath quickly progressed into the role of Contracts Supervisor and then in 2020 to a Contracts Manager. Heath holds CITB Health & Safety qualifications and works closely with the contracts team to promote a culture of H & S awareness and a proactive approach to operational safety within the workplace. Heath is a qualified football coach assisting a local club. He also plays squash in the Leicestershire and Warwickshire Leagues and enjoys riding his motorbike in his spare time.
